Jackfruit

Locally called fenne, jackfruit is a popularly grown crop in Uganda. This is mainly due to the country’s perfect natural elements to support its growth and the plant’s ability to provide a significant yield for many years. The Ugandan jackfruit is known for its thick, spiked, deep green-colored exterior skin, distinct sweet aroma, and the rich soft flesh. It’s high in calcium, magnesium, potassium, as well as vitamins A, B, and C.
